Red Pitaya announces the advance order of STEMLab HF SDR Transceiver

Red Pitaya has just announced its next SDR platform, STEMlab 122.88-16 , which is a software-defined radio intended to be used as an HF transceiver in amateur radio bands.

The SDR is advertised to cover HF + 6 m (50 MHz) and includes two 16-bit and 50-ohm input ADCs and two 14-bit outputs. Based on the Xililinx Zynq 7020 FPGA that runs an A9 Cortex ARM processor, it is powerful enough to handle the various modes that are frequently seen in amateur bands and, at the same time, that support an impressive sampling rate of 122.88 MS / s.

This hardware is also fully compatible with the HPSDR software platform , which is an open source project for the operation of amateur radio SDR

While this radio has been designed with amateurs in mind, it is still a very capable platform that could be used for experimentation, although with a more restricted frequency range than what you may be used to with traditional radios defined by software. .
