Uniden to Release New Scanner SDS-100 Handheld

Uniden Corp is apparently going to release a new handheld scanner in the near future known as the SDS-100. Per a posting to the Universal Radio catalog. Not much is known at this point and the scanner has not been type accepted or approved for sale by the FCC, so no sales price is available.

So, here is the material that Universal has posted so far.
The Uniden SDS-100 starts off with the considerable capabilities of the respected BCD-436 with TrunkTracker V™ technology, APCO Project 25 Phase I and Phase II, X2-TDMA, Motorola™, EDACS™, and LTR™ Trunked Radio Systems. And it includes the innovative features of the Homepatrol such as Zip Code programming and band scope display.
Enhancements include Li-ion battery, alkaline battery tray, three contextual soft-keys that change function based on current operation. It features a huge color LCD that is user customizable.
But wait there’s more! An integrated SDR feature turns the scanner into a wide band DC to Daylight RF analysis tool when connected to a PC and used with freely available software. Not only is it great to look at, but it is also rugged and weather resistant to the JIS4 standard. Here is a sophisticated, professional grade instrument that fits in your hand!”
